There are those that seek the negative in turn they end up making it. Some people question,
"you never saw anything how could you bear anything?"
In Islam we are created with Alhamdulillah (praise and thanks be to God) a brain. Which means unlike what many might see as true is just stubborness that makes them question and seek no answer or gratification. The fact is, in Islam Muslims convict we are born knowing eating and dressing. From the times of Adam we spoke words and worshipped Allah subhanawa ta'ala. Up until the time of Noah where people started taking partners with Allah (swt), but thats to show there was worship and awareness and the critical human mind WE today have, rather bias money intended research that goes to unexisting things like Lucy the ape claimed to be our ancestry of the human species today.
So from here we can assume that we are conscience creatures. The only creation in its niche that holds higher abilities of thought and analysis.
Taking witness is defined as, "to see, hear, or know by personal presence and perception: to witness an accident"
Muslims taking shahadeh (taking witness) into Islam means that mind spirit sight heart and every sense of our beings witnesses by its awh of creation there is a Greater Source past the naked eye. Falling under firm conviction that there is a Creator the physical world is made up by. This conviction by itself should be so strong when its taken and so sure of itself thats what makes a Muslim literally a Muslim: one who has surrendered to Allah (swt) by following the Quran and the methods mannerisms and teachings of the Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him)
Its not enough to say your a Muslim. But if a Muslim goes by the above, then their level of eman (faith) and taqwah (God-conscienceness) gets a jolt of energy and never lacks it because they are always bearing witness with/by every aspect of human life. Appreciating the best and worst in everything and seeing the physical mental medical prophetic astronomical psycholigical miracles of creation. Making us- The common Muslim a fountain of appreciation critical thought and medatation all while living happily and gratefully.
Thats a strong oath to take. To bear Islam not just in word of shahadah (witnessing only One God) but in the actual example following that shahadah makes a Muslims shahadah something of its kind. Strong, unyeilding and forever in awh.
There is an aya (a verse) in the Quran I cannot remember from the top of my head but its main point in this verse was 'if you want to strengthen your worship and eman (faith) look within yourselves' meaning we dont have to look too far to witness some intelligence far greater than ours able to construct without fail and organism as flawless as ourselves. Not even looking towards the stars yet we see there is a Source Allah that is greater in wisdom and in ability than any other; baffling the greatest of science and physics.
Going back to the mind...Islam is a religion that pushes the thought of having the mind and being aware as a form of being an adult; meaning once you can make differenciations between right and wrong the judgement begins. That is the time Muslims start praying and putting the Hijab (the modest covering) the time when Muslims are judged as adults as beings full or though wonder love lust good bad and everything in between. When the personality forms the adventure begins.
This brings things to this idea: alot of religions are passed down through ancestry and inheritance.
Islam is not inheritance. Nor is it inherited or passed down by ancestors. Nor do your parents have to teach you every aspect of it that is not defined by the childs rights upon his parents. Instead Islam says you have a mind use it. We dont wait for answers. We seek them out. If there is a will there is proven a way. That is why people are judged by Allah (swt) to begin with, whether the religion Christian Muslim Buddist Daoist Athiest etc...because we have common sense. And it is up to us to look for the truth when we seek it. Find it. Acknowledge it. Live by it.
Because if you want to question something, the difference between asking a question out of curiosity and trying to piss someone off is, if you actual go out of YOUR way to find its answer.
Taking shahadah can be seen as a metaphorical question, and living by it is its answer.
